Situation
The Würzburg University Clinic is a large clinic with
approximately 45 000 in-patients per year and approxi-
mately 1500 beds, spread out over approximately 30 buildings of different
ages and architectures.
Results
The concept includes the medical specialized areas as well
as the clinic administrative offices and the areas
for research and schooling. Objective was to be able to guarantee a secure
and efficient operational mana-
gement and to include the subsequent necessary measures, i.e. for electricity
supplying, fire protection, etc.,
in the guidelines for the realization of the concept. Both client and
user needs were taken into consideration
during the concept development process so that all requirements could
be met for an optimal use of the
system. The
entire concept was coordinated with the planning for the designated new
building area.
