Starting Situation
Due to the age and organization of the heat and power plant site "Barmen" of the Wuppertal Works Depart-
ment, a new concept was to be drawn up for the generating of heat and power, and which would allow for
the continuation of operations in an ecological and economical fashion. The transport processes of the KWK
laws were also to be taken into consideration. Goal is the development of a plant concept which will serve as
an example for other location sites.
