locations in Belgium, Spain and France. The liberalization of the energy
market will allow in the foreseeable
future the interconnection of energy purchase in Europe. The strategic
organization of the Bayer AG was to
be described in a comprehensive project concept for the future.

An international team worked out the organizational, technical
and economical guidelines for the future
Bayer AG energy trade.
The
interfaces between the company locations, as well as the central place
of energy procuring were set. A
plan of action was drawn up and presented to the Bayer AG Executive Board
in which the new organization
for purchasing was described, responsibilities and infrastructure outlined
and activities in energy trade
summarized.
